Kafni / Kaphini Glacier Trekking Tour

Kafni/Kaphini Glacier (3800m)
Kafni glacier a peaceful place is situated on the right side of Pindar valley under spectacular mountain Nandakot. This region is very rich in wildlife. Main peaks near the glacier are Nandakot 6860 m and Nandabhanar 6104 meters. A tourist cannot be pro with hotel and rest house beyond Dwali so one will have to spend heights in caves or tents.

Day 03: BAGESHWAR – SONG - DHAKURI (2621m)
After breakfast 40 Kms. drive to song and 11kms trek to Dhakuri. Dhakuri is reach forest and touching point of Maiktoli. Overnight in tourist rest house/camp.

Day 04: DHAKURI – KHATI (2210m)
Dhakuri is the point to take excielent view of the Himalaya. After breakfast move to khati. Dinner and overnight in camp.

Day 05: KHATI – DWALI (2750m )
After breakfast 11km trek with rich forest along with the Pindar river. Lunch and dinner and overnight in tourist rest house/camp.

Day 06: DWALI – BAYALI
8 kms. trek to Bayali. Dinner and overnight in camp/gust house.

Day 07: BAYALI – KAFNI / KAPHINI – BAYALI

Kauri Pass Tapovan Trekking Tour

Kuari Pass : “Standing at the Kuari Pass facing north, the vision sweeps from the gorges of Trishul in the east to the peaks of Kedarnath in the west - the Kedarnath, Chaukhamba, Nilkantha, Kamet, Gauri Parbat, Hathi Parbat, Nandadevi, Bethartoli and Dunagiri all arranged in a stupendous arc … Southwards the foothills stretch wave upon wave on to the dim haze of the distant plains”. The trek is named after the Lord Curzon went upto the Kuari Pass in 1905.

Day 1: Delhi to Kausani (331kms): 11-12 hrs
Board evening train/bus departing Delhi at 2200hr (overnight journey).

Day 2: Kausani (1890 m)
Reach Kausani at 1000hr. The town is also called the” Switzerland of India.” It is famous for its popular for panaromic view of sunrise and sunset which inspired the famous poet Sh. Sumitra Nandan Pant to explain the beauty of Kausani hills to the world. After lunch one can enjoy trekking at local highest spot to have a closer view of the nature. Night halt camp/hotel.

Day 3: Kausani –Gwaldam-Karnpriyag- Ghat (1331 m): 137kms : 7-8 hrs
The drive takes one into the rugged country of the Garhwal Himalaya . A number of holy confluences pass while traveling through the narrow vally of Mandakini river. Overnight camp.

Day 4: Ghat to Ramni/Ghunni (2550 m): 6-7 hrs
(Trekking begins from Ghat) For the first half of the day the trail goes along the river. After lunch it starts to climb up away from the river, some parts being quite steep. We camp just above the fairly large village of Ramni in a nice grassy patch and visit the village in the evening.

Day 5: Ghunni to Sem Kharak (2400 m): 5-6 hrs
The trail starts climbing up to the pass and crosses many small tributary rivers and waterfalls including one which offers a great opportunity for a shower! After a steady climb we arrive at the small Ramni Pass (3060 m) which offers views of the Kuari Pass. We descend gradually to the grazing meadows of Sem Kharak. Overnight camp.

Day 6: Sem Kharak to Pana (2450 m): 5-6 hrs
From Sem kharak we descend to the suspension bridge over the Birthi Ganga and then climb again to another prosperous village, Pana. Overnight camp.

Day 7: Pana to Dhakwani (3341 m): 6-7 hrs
A few ascents, descents and traverses bring us close to the foot of the Kuari Pass. The trail comes out above the tree line and goes through grazing grounds into meadow country to reach Dhakwani.

Day 8: Dhakwani to Kuari Pass (3840 m) to Khulara (3180 m): 4-5 hrs
The trail is steep up to the Kuari Pass and it takes about two or three hours to get there. Once up on the pass, the views are simply breathtaking, a wide panorama of high Himalayas – the Chaukhamba Range, Nilkantha (6597 m), and Abigamin (7355 m) extend to the Tibetan border. In the middle foreground, the main Himalayan chain in the vicinity of the Bhyundar and Hemkund Valleys includes Nilgiri Parbat (6474 m) and Rataban (6166 m).

Day 9: Khulara to Tapovan (1850 m) – Joshimath (1875 m)
morning trekking to Tapovan 5 hrs and drive to Joshimath 1-2hrs The last day of the trek is all the way (trekking end in Tapovan) down to Tapovan. It's about three hours drive from here to the comforts of the hotel in Joshimath.

Day 10: Joshimath - Haridwar 285 kms : 8-9hrs
After an early morning breakfast we set out for the long eight hour drive to reach Haridwar to board the train/bus leaving at 6:10 p.m. We arrive back in Delhi by 10:30 p.m. tour concludes.

Day 11: Haridwar – Delhi 220 kms : 5-6hrs
An early morning holy bath in The Ganga river Puja and Darsan in Har ki pauri after breakfast we set out for Delhi board the train/bus . We arrive back in Delhi airport/station and tour concludes.

Khatling Glacier & Sahasratal Trekking Tour

Forest, grassland and glaciers the another of rivers and beauty of nature that sustain life. The Khatling glacier is a lateral glacier, at the source of the river Bhilangana. Sahasratal and Masartal are on the west and east of it respectively. The Valley of Bhilangana affords a panoramic and grand view of snow clad peaks and hanging glaciers. Jogin group, Kirtistambha and Meru are sublime and magnificent. The entire trek is surrounded by unparallel view of the lush green meadows in the beginning. Later, it crosses two passes above 17,000 ft. and negotiates glaciers moraines and a snow patch.

Day 05: SHILLA –KUSH KALAYANI (3810 M)
11 kms trek to Kushkalayani with packed lunch. Dinner & overnight in camp.

Day 06: KUSHKALAYANI –KYARKI (4044 M)
Today is 6 day of Khatling Glacier trek, we undertake a walk of 14 kms to reach Kyarki with packed lunch. Dinner & overnight in camp.

Day 07: KYARKI –PARITAL (4225 M)

10 kms trek to Parital with packed lunch. Dinner & overnight in Camp

Day 08: PARITAL-SAHSHRATAL (4572 M) BHIMTAL

12 kms trek to Bhimtal/ Taddiudyar via Sahasratal with packed lunch. Dinner & overnight in camp.

Day 09: BHIMTAL-KALYANI (2683 M)

6 kms trek to Khatling Glacier with packed lunch. In the afternoon, return trek to Chowki. Dinner & overnight in camp at Khatling Glacier.

Day 13: CHOWKI –MASARTAL (49990 M)
7 kms trek to Masartal with packed lunch. Dinner & overnight in camp.

Day 14: MASARTAL-VASUKITAL (4890 M)
15 kms trek to Vasukital vai Mayali Pass (5400mts) Panyatal and Teental with packed lunch. Dinner & overnight in camp.

Day 15: VASUKITAL-KEDARNATH (3585 M)
On day we trek for 8 kms to reach Kedarnath with packed lunch. Dinner & overnight Kedarnath.

Day 16: KEDARNATH-GAURIKUND
15 kms to Gaurikund with packed lunch. Dinner & overnight in Gaurikund.

DAY 01 : DELHI- KATHGODAM
The pilgrims cover 320 Km from Delhi to Kathgodam via Moradabad, Rampur, Haldwani. They cross the rivers Yamuna, Ganga and Ramganga W. rivers on the way. Overnight journey.

DAY 02 : KATHGODAM - BAGESHWAR
After having Breakfast at Kathgodam, the journey to Bageshwar starts. At lunch, bus reaches to Almora and lunch is served in the guest house. Then there is drive uphill to Bageshwar which lies on the confluence of Gomti and Saryu.

DAY 03 : BAGESHWAR- CHAUKORI- DHARCHULA
Before breakfast at Bageshwar, the Baijnath temple may be visited. From here the pilgrim reach Chaukori via Kanda - Vijaypur - Kotmunya. Everyone will be pleased by the impressive view of the mighty Himalaya form the tea estate of Chaukori. Then there is a drive downhill to Thal, uphill to Didihat where lunch is served, then downhill again to Ogla - Jauljibi and finally along the Gori river till they reach Dharchula, crossing the Gomti, Saryu, Ramganga E. and Gori on the way. One can now see the mountains of Nepal. The distance covered is 160 Km.

DAY 04 : DHARCHULA – TAWAGHAT - GALA
19 Km from Dharchula the Dhauli E. meets the Kali at Tawaghat. One can plan to reach out and touch the Chhiplakot peaks, lakes and glaciers via village Khela in a future trip. The pilgrims cross the bridge over the roaring Dhauli and see the confluence of the Kali and Dhauli, and then drive on to Mangti. If one is lucky one might find oneself in this region during the Kandali festival which is held once in twelve years. Travel along the Kali river through dense forest to climb up to the village of Gala (2440m). Here are KMVN's cottages. There is a PWD dak bungalow at Jipti (2378m) 2 Km further.

DAY 05 : GALA – MALPA - BHDDHI
Although Gala to Buddhi (2740 m) via Malpa (2018m) is 20 Km. To reach Malpa one has to climb down 4444 steps to reach the river Kali. This place is Lakhanpur. To the right of the Kali is the Chhata fall. On the left is also a fall in Nepal. Next is the beautiful Najang fall. The Kali seems almost like a violent storm in this region. Budi (2740m) is at a distance of 9 Km from Malpa and the group rests at Lamre before reaching Budi. There are numerous springs and waterfalls on either side of the river; also can seen the Api - Nampa range of Nepal.

DAY 06 : BUDHI – GUNJI
Gunji (3500m) is 17 Km from Budi. On reaching Chhialekh the group enters the region of Byans. The pasture of Chhialekh is strewn with grasses and flowers. Then comes Garbhiang village (3225m), deserted because of geopolitical and geological reasons. Here the Kali meets the Tinkar coming from Nepal. The Kali is no longer intimidating and becomes almost silent by the time Gunji (3500m) comes. The trek from Budhi to Gunji via Chhialekh and Garbhiang is 20-22 km long and most tiring of all. Buddhi to Chhialekh is a steep climb. On the way Api mountain range on the Nepal side is seen.

DAY 07 : GUNJI - KALAPANI
One moves along the relatively quieter Kali to walk 10 Km to reach Kalapani (3600m). There are pine, bhojpatra and juniper forests in this region. Although the river has been coming all the way from Lipulekh pass, the small pool formed under a huge rock is considered to be the source of the Kali. There are snow - clad mountains all around and Vyas's cave is to be found on the mountain in front of Kalapani. It was because of the visit of Rishi Vyas that the region is known as Byans. There is also a hot water spring at Kalapani.

DAY 08 : KALAPANI - NAVIDHANG
The group covers the 9 Km from Kalapani to Navidhang (3987m) surrounded by innumerable wild flowers. This is the region of Musk deer and Monal and the highest stage of Himalayan wilderness. The 'Om Parvat' smiles in front of the pilgrim.

DAY 09 : NAVIDHANG – LIPULEKH PASS
After walking 8 Km from Navidhang to the Lipulekh pass (5334m).
